We supply flush-fit LED down-lights as part of our Insulated Roofing Panel Kits. We purchase these from Bondor® - our panel manufacturer. So Why should you buy Bondor® LED down-lights for your Insulated Roofing Panel?
Put simply the core of the roofing panel is SL grade Expanded Polystyrene, or EPS. This foam type has a cook temperature of 68˚ celsius. What this means is if the light has a running temperature close to, or even exceeding this temperate the foam will soften around the light aperture. This can then produce a wavy look to the ceiling around the light, called “Read through”. The lights we supply have a run temperature of 41˚, which is well below this temperature
In short you can install whichever lights suit you best, and yes there are other lights available that will do the job, but always check to make sure they are suitable for your application. And when in doubt always the the question. But of course if the lights are supplied by the same company that makes the panel then warranty is not an issue should something occur
